I unfortunately have not kept up with wordpress’s releases and of course had my wordpress hacked, as well as another customer. I don’t blog enough to notice when there is an update. However it seems this 2.8 version seems much better, and has even given me an easy way to create widgets which is what this post is going to test. I have rewritten and modified a plugin called WordPress Email Notification V2.3.1 by Brian Groce, his version has a flaw when you do not use a table prefix. I have also created a wp-email-form widget to handle the email future send and signup form. This will alleviate people having to “change” their theme. I also added a function test for email_notification_future_send which is a pain if you do NOT have that plugin activated.
