Well after what seemed to be a 3 month hiatus, it seems that I am once again playing (guitar) with a couple of my co-workers. Now that we have a new place to play after work. I myself play the guitar, coming up with some rhythms but mainly I love to try to break off and try to play solos. That seems to be my main focus these days, we have a good rhythm guitarist, and a great (guitar / bass) player , and me. Sometimes we just play anything, sometimes it is something we just start playing, we have the ability to take a simple A chord and turn it into something funky by the time we are done. We enjoy playing anything from simple blues riffs to “Interstate Love Song” by STP to “Sultan’s of Swing”. I myself have learned some type of Spanish Gypsy Phrygian scale that I just love to play, hopefully I’ll just keep learning new scales, especially all of the Pentatonic scales. I know the Pentatonic Minor, however I am not familiar with Major or different placements at this time. I have learned more in the last 6 months of playing my guitar with these 2 guys than I have by myself over the years. I can tell my playing ability has improved greatly. I am thankful to have hooked up with my 2 co-workers, and I value everything I have learned. I hope to continue to play with them as long as I can before my life may take me elsewhere, and possibly away from here.
